Washington Commanders Stadium Redevelopment

Prince George's County, Maryland

A Reimagining of the 225 Acre Northwest Stadium Site

When the Washington Commanders' announced their plans to build their new stadium at the RFK site in Washington, D.C., an exciting opportunity to reimagine the current stadium site in Landover, MD was born. An adaptive reuse of the site offers an exciting opportunity for what will be one of the largest redevelopments ever in the National Capital Region. RISE has been engaged by the Washington Commanders in a multi-year process that will include master planning, working with state & local governments, sourcing public redevelopment funding, and identifying notable "anchor" tenants.

This redevelopment represents a generational opportunity for the county — anchoring long-term economic growth, creating thousands of permanent and construction jobs, and establishing Prince George's County as a premier sports and entertainment destination in the Mid-Atlantic.
